URGENT: Inclement Weather Closure Notice - Effective Friday, January 23, 2026

Due to the Extreme Cold Warning issued for Southeast Wisconsin, Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and district offices will be CLOSED tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 23.

Key Details:

  • Closures: All schools and district sites are closed.

  • Cancellations: All after-school events, recreation programs, and district activities are canceled for Friday.

  • Saturday Update: Athletic and academic events scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, are also canceled.

  • Rescheduling: High school exams originally set for Friday will now take place on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

With wind chills forecast to reach as low as -40°F, frostbite can occur in as little as 10 minutes. Please stay safe and limit outdoor exposure.
